While this year's Black Friday guitar deals don't officially start until 28 November, that hasn't stopped some major guitar stores getting ahead off the curve and launching sales early. Sweetwater's up to 80% off sale is here with over 5,000 bargains up for grabs, while Guitar Center has kicked things off with their up to 40% off sale on a range of premium brands. And if you're in the UK or Europe, Thomann's early Cyber Week deals are well worth checking it.
With these sales comes an overwhelming choice of savings on every type of guitar product and brand under the sun. It's our job to cut through the noise and bring you only the best gear choices, based on our many years of playing, testing and critiquing guitar gear.
In addition to all the buying advice and shopping tips you'll ever need, this page will be populated with what I and the wider MusicRadar team believe to be the greatest offers from across a wide range of retailers and product categories - so if you're on the hunt for a bargain, this is the place to be.

With a gigantic $252 reduction taking the price down to well below the $600 mark, this Limited Edition Player II Stratocaster is an absolutely stonking deal. It’s the lowest price I’ve seen a Player II guitar going for, so if you’re after a super playable and versatile instrument that punches above its weight then this is a great deal to go for. In my Player II Stratocaster review, I gave it four and a half stars out of five, praising the vintage tone of the Alnico pickups, the return of rosewood fingerboards, and the effortlessly playable modern ‘C’ profile neck.
Guitar Tricks: Black Friday bundle, $899 $99
Right now you can score the best-value offer of the year on the best online guitar lessons platform. For only $99, you'll get a full access subscription, plus a fantastic range of beginner material, including a custom lesson plan, a beginner bootcamp, the 100 Essential Licks series, a guitar setup guide and loads more. For the full package you'd usually pay $899, but all this works out at a very palatable $8.25 per month.
You can save $160 off the PRS SE NF3 list price at Guitar Center right now. The model brought something genuinely new to the S-style table, with its unique Narrowfield hum-canceling pickups and 25” scale-length – and was described as coming “dangerously close” to the firm’s hallowed US builds. Use the saving to make some minor mods and you’ll have a serious player on your hands...
Guitar wireless systems used to be crazy expensive, so this deal on the Xvive U2 Wireless System is a great reminder of just how far we've come in terms of the technology. With a $46 reduction at Musican's Friend, this wireless kit is superb value for money, and the freeing feeling of doing away with cables is a convenience that all guitarists really need to experience.
I've had a HX Stomp on my pedalboard for the past couple of years now, and it's become the hub for all my delay, reverb, and modulation sounds. Instead of having three separate pedals it handles a multitude of duties sitting in the FX loop of my amp. I also use it for amp modeling in conjunction with third-party IRs, where it's perfect for recording guitar demos. This limited mint green edition has eye-catching looks to add to the equation, and with $100 off at Guitar Center I can highly recommend picking one up.
With everybody raving about the new Oasis guitars, this Epiphone Les Paul Custom P-90 caught my eye over at Guitar Center. It's got a hefty $150 discount, and the black and gold aesthetic with dual P-90 pickups gives it a look not too dissimilar to Noel's new guitar, for much less money.
At just $99, the Pigtronix Constellator is a brilliant deal at Sweetwater thanks to a huge $80 reduction. It's an analog delay pedal that delivers a luscious warm wash that belies its budget price point. It's a seriously underrated bit of gear, and we love the modulated tones it can deliver, as well as the mini size that means it's easily able to fit onto any 'board.
At half price over at the official UA website, the UAD Guitar Amp Bundle is a stunning deal for players who use an audio interface or like to record their playing. It includes four iconic guitar amps, including a trio of the most recorded amps ever with models on the Fender Deluxe Reverb, Marshall Plexi, and the Vox AC30 included. You also get the Woodrow 55 which is based on a Fender Tweed amp.

Not a fan of flashy flame tops? Well, this might just be the LP of your dreams. This Gibson Les Paul Standard ’60s boasts the classic design that’s kept this solidbody electric guitar relevant for decades, but ditches the flames for an understated Sparkling Burgundy plain top. Save a whopping $600 at Sweetwater.
At first, I wasn't quite won over by this guitar's looks, but once I got my hands on it, everything changed. In person, the shape just made more sense, and to my delight, this guitar is not only incredibly playable but also delivers those classic Gibson tones that we all adore. I actually ended up buying one myself! Save $200 at Sweetwater.
If you’re seeking big, powerful tones for every shade of quiet and loud strumming, then the J-200 is one of the greatest acoustic guitars there is. It’s super dynamic, so you can play with loads of expression, and it responds really nicely to your picking attack. Save $300 at Sweetwater.
This Guitar Center exclusive was released only a matter of weeks ago, and for Black Friday, it's already receiving a hefty $150 discount!
Jimi’s original started life with a sunburst finish before he sprayed it black and hand-painted the ‘Love Drops’ design himself. That brings us neatly to the Epiphone Inspired By Gibson Custom Jimi Hendrix Love Drops Flying V. For us, we think the Love Drops is a great statement guitar. It looks fantastic, plays well, and sounds superb, particularly in the neck position.
Guitars don’t come much classier than this limited-edition Inspired By Gibson Epiphone "Tuxedo" Les Paul Custom. Thanks to the Antique Ivory finish, it's a drop-dead stunner, and it’s got the tones to match, which arrive courtesy of the creamy ProBuckers. Its spec sheet has got the DNA of a classic Gibson, but the unique aesthetics will ensure you stand out in a sea of regular old burst-finished Les Pauls.
Grohl’s Gibson has become iconic, and now with the Epiphone replica, you can bag that famous Foos sound at a fraction of the cost. Loaded with Gibson USA pickups, with a Burstbucker 2 in the neck position and Burstbucker 3 in the bridge, there is no better way to nail this famous Grohl tone. Save £300 at Sweetwater.
If you’re after a stylish single cut, this could be the one. With $180 off at Guitar Center, the SE Zach Myers 594 pairs a chambered mahogany body with a single F-hole, keeping things lightweight and resonant. Two PRS-designed 245 “S” pickups deliver plenty of punch, making this model as versatile as it is eye-catching.
If you love to shred, this one’s for you. With $216 off at Sweetwater, the SE Custom 24 Floyd lets you dive-bomb and chug to your heart’s content, all while showing off its stunning Charcoal Cherry Burst finish. It’s a powerful, stage-ready guitar that proves serious performance doesn’t have to come with a premium price tag.
With $220 off at Guitar Center, the SE Studio is a fantastic all-rounder for players who want maximum flexibility. A figured maple veneer and shallow violin carve give it plenty of visual appeal, while the HSS Narrowfield configuration makes it equally at home in the studio or on stage. A smart buy for any studio guitarist this Black Friday.
There are loads of PRS guitars on sale at the moment, but one of my top picks is this PRS SE Special Semi-Hollow. It's got a huge $230 reduction at Sweetwater, taking it well below a grand, and it's one of the most versatile guitars I've played this year. This comes courtesy of the lineup of three pickups, with dual humbuckers and a Narrowfield DD “S” pickup in between the two. Add in the ability to coil tap the pickups and you've a ridiculous array of tones to choose from, alongside PRS' trademark build quality.
Amp deals
The Positive Grid Spark Mini has been my favorite practice amp for a long time now, thanks to its blend of fantastic tones, excellent volume, yet surprisingly small form factor. With a $50 reduction at Sweetwater, taking it just south of $200, it's awesome value for money, and in my opinion, the perfect practice amp.
Pedal deals
At just $99, the Pigtronix Constellator is a brilliant deal at Sweetwater thanks to a huge $80 reduction. It's an analog delay pedal that delivers a luscious warm wash that belies its budget price point. It's a seriously underrated bit of gear, and we love the modulated tones it can deliver, as well as the mini size that means it's easily able to fit onto any 'board.
Wireless deals
Guitar wireless systems used to be crazy expensive, so this deal on the Xvive U2 Wireless System is a great reminder of just how far we've come in terms of the technology. With a $46 reduction at Musican's Friend, this wireless kit is superb value for money, and the freeing feeling of doing away with cables is a convenience that all guitarists really need to experience.
Headphones deals
Taking the idea of a guitar headphone amp quite literally, the Positive Grid Spark Neo gives you all the myriad tones from the Spark practice amps and puts them inside a set of headphones you can connect wirelessly to your guitar. Here's what our reviewer had to say about it:
"There’s a risk of the wireless convenience coming across like it’s solving a First World problem, and in a way, it is. But once you’ve experienced it, it makes complete sense. If the ability to grab your guitar and quickly start playing without cables sounds good (and trust me, it is), then you’re going to love the Spark Neo."
It's currently got a cool $50 discount at Sweetwater at the moment, giving you an all-in-one practice rig for less than $200. Bargain!
Software deals
At half price over at the official UA website, the UAD Guitar Amp Bundle is a stunning deal for players who use an audio interface or like to record their playing. It includes four iconic guitar amps, including a trio of the most recorded amps ever with models on the Fender Deluxe Reverb, Marshall Plexi, and the Vox AC30 included. You also get the Woodrow 55 which is based on a Fender Tweed amp.
Black Friday guitar deals FAQ
When will the Black Friday guitar deals land?
2025's Black Friday guitar deals will officially rear their heads on the day after Thanksgiving - Friday, November 28th. Leaving less than a month between then and Christmas Day, it's probably the best time to load up on Christmas presents for the special guitarist in your life. Black Friday's best guitar deals will last that whole weekend (or Cyber Weekend, as it's also known) before culminating in a Cyber Monday guitar deals frenzy on Monday, 1st December.
The events of previous years tell us that November 28th isn't the only day you can get some ridiculous savings. Many of the best Black Friday guitar deals will crop up in the weeks leading up to Black Friday - some as early as mid-October - and many deals will still be on offer leading up to Christmas Day.
If a bargain is what you're after during this Black Friday/Cyber Monday period, then you'd better keep your eyes and ears peeled at all times. Deals will be launched at random times of the day - or night - so it's worth keeping an eye on your favourite retailers to make sure you get what you're after. We'll be scouring the web for the best Black Friday guitar deals as well, so keep an eye on this page, too.
What Black Friday guitar deals should I expect?
We'll be keeping a close eye on the biggest guitar retailers throughout the next few months. Based on what we saw last year, the Musician's Friend Black Friday deals and Guitar Center Black Friday deals brought about some killer deals for guitarists - so we'll be looking to those retailers for some of the best deals on electric and acoustic guitars, guitar audio interfaces, guitar amps, effects pedals and guitar accessories.
When it comes to electric guitars, Black Friday is one of the best opportunities to pick up an absolute steal. Last year, we were inundated with deals on the ever-popular Fender Player Series Stratocaster from Guitar Center, and Musician's Friend knocked a bundle off some of the best metal guitars and tasty valve combos. We'll be expecting some very similar (and hopefully even better) deals this year from Guitar Center and Musician's Friend.
For those that wanted to do a bit of home recording, the best place to look was definitely Positive Grid - who knocked a lofty 50% off the price of their BIAS FX 2 and AMP 2 software. Generous, eh? Again, we're expecting to see some major discounts this year.
For the pedal nerds among us, we're expecting some big savings on brands like Boss, JHS, Line 6, MXR and Digitech, if last year's deals are anything to go by.
We've been covering Black Friday guitar deals for a long old time now, so you can rest assured that we'll be scouring the web, scouting out the best deals on all the guitar gear you can dream of, and sharing them with you right here first.
Which sites are best for guitar deals on Black Friday?
It's fair to say we have a lot of experience when it comes to shopping for guitars, amps, pedals and accessories - and not just on Black Friday. Now, while there are a myriad of music retailers out there, we only recommend the shops and sites we trust and have had experience dealing with personally.
For us, on Black Friday there are a small handful of places that we would point you towards and it's a mix of retailers and manufacture's own sites.
In the US, we highly recommend checking out the likes of Guitar Center, Musician's Friend, Sweetwater, Fender and Positive Grid. These sites always have killer Black Friday sales and more importantly they each have excellent customer service and decent returns policies.
In the UK, we'd suggest starting with Thomann and Gear4Music. Again, these sites always deliver when it comes to excellent Black Friday sales, while also providing stellar service.
How to prepare for the Black Friday guitar sales
1. Create a wishlist early - The most sensible way to take advantage of this year's Black Friday guitar deals is to know in advance what you’re looking for. This will make searching much easier, rather than having to trawl through loads of deals you don’t want to find the ones you do. Get your research done sooner rather than later. That way, you'll know exactly what you're looking for, and can jump on a great deal as soon as you spot it.
2. Work out what you actually need - Check out your favourite brands, see what you need and will genuinely use - don’t waste your cash and fill your basket with stuff you'll never play. Has a popular model just received an update? Well, if so, perhaps the old version will be massively discounted for Black Friday? You could start by checking out our guide to the best electric guitars under £500 if you are on a strict budget.
3. Consider your guitar goals - What do you want to achieve with your guitar goals for the next 12 months or so? Is there gear out there that will help you hit them? Are you looking to join a band? Now could be the time to invest in a giggable rig.
4. Clear some space - Something else you should consider ahead of time is whether you have enough space in your guitar rack for another six-string. Now might be the best time to get rid of any unnecessary gear that is taking up space - and better yet, if you sell it, you could put that extra money towards your Black Friday purchase.
How we choose which guitar deals to cover
Here at MusicRadar, we are experts in our field, with many years of playing and product testing between us. We live and breathe everything music-making, and we draw on this knowledge and experience of using products in live, recording and rehearsal scenarios when selecting the products we recommend.
First and foremost, we are players and creators, and we want to match like-minded folk with the right products for them, at the best prices.
For us to recommend a deal on guitars or anything else it has to be a product we rate that’s a genuinely great price or part of a truly fantastic bundle. It’s also important that we only recommend retailers where you will have a positive shopping experience.
Why you can trust our choices
We spend a lot of our time scouring music retailers for fantastic deals on our favourite guitars, amps, pedals and accessories. Not only is it our job to research and recommend the best gear in our buyer’s guides and reviews, but we’re also dedicated to helping musicians get the best deals on the stuff they need, too. After all, the only thing better than new gear day is a hearty discount.
We cover a lot of the big sales events throughout the year, including Memorial Day, 4th of July sales and Amazon Prime Day, and we have a good view on which products are likely to receive the biggest discounts and when, the prices they’ve been in the past and which deals are genuinely worth a look.
