The place for music makers
Nominate your contemporary favourites

Software synths may have come to dominate the market, but in a strange way, this has only served to make us appreciate our hardware models more.
It's easy to build up a massive collection of plug-in instruments without ever really getting to know any of them, but if you invest in a real synth, you'll treasure it dearly and discover its every nuance.
So, if you have a hardware synth or two, the chances are that you love them. And if you love them, we want you to tell us why.
We want to compile the definitive list of great hardware synths, but for this Ask MusicRadar, we're only going to include models that you can currently buy new (you can nominate an older version of a synth that's still available, though). We all know how great the original Minimoog is, but contemporary instruments are what we're dealing with here.
After you've decided on your favourite hardware synth(s), log in to MusicRadar and tell us about it/them in the comments below. Based on your feedback, we'll publish our list of the best hardware synths on the market in due course.
