This is why I rarely buy new pedals anymore - save up to 66% off gear in the Reverb 4th of July sale
Reverb is independently owned again, and to celebrate, they’re offering massive savings on music gear

Things are tight for a lot of people at the moment, which means saving money on gear purchases is more important than ever. Despite this, many musicians overlook the power of buying used, typically because they’re worried about getting a dud.
Over at Reverb, to celebrate them becoming independently owned again, you can now save up to 66% on a range of gear, making it a great place to pick up a bargain on some fresh gear. If you’re looking for an alternative to the influx of Prime Day music deals we’re about to be deluged with, then I’d highly recommend you go take a look and see what you can save.
I’ve been buying used for years now, and I’ve found it’s a great way to save money on the gear you want, particularly when it comes to guitar pedals. I’ve bought and sold more pedals on Reverb than I care to remember, and so far, I’ve yet to receive anything that wasn’t in perfect working order. It’s particularly good for getting your hands on discontinued pedals, or those that are less likely to be stocked at traditional retailers.
It’s not just used gear available at Reverb, though; there are plenty of discounts on brand new gear, including a nice $36.09 off this TC Electronic Polytune 3 Mini tuner pedal. It’s a utility pedal, so probably not the most exciting thing you’ll ever buy, but at just over $50 it’s super value for what will inevitably be a pedal you use every practice, rehearsal, recording take, or live show.
Reverb Independents Day Sale: Up to 66% off
Buying used is a great way to save big bucks on new gear, and Reverb's latest sale makes it even better value for money with up to 66% off music gear. There’s a great selection of used gear from independent retailers, but you can also bag big savings on B-stock and brand new gear in the sale.
Buying B-stock gear is a great way to save big money if you’re not sure about buying used. A lot of manufacturers are now selling their open-box, display, and lightly used models, and many of these come with full warranties as if they were new.
Over at the official Earthquaker Devices store, you can pick up this B-stock Spatial Delivery pedal with a huge $110 reduction. It carries the same lifetime warranty as a brand new item, and might have some small cosmetic blemishes, or have been used for display or demo purposes.
If you want a pedal that’s a little different, then it’s a great shout, offering an envelope filter with the ability to sample and hold. It’s way more than just an auto-wah that’s for sure, and can you get some properly unique tones with lots of scope for tweaking thanks to the three knobs and three mode switch.
If you’re willing to buy used, you can save huge amounts of money on gear, and I spotted this Death By Audio Fuzz War pedal with a cool $40 discount. It’s mint condition, and you’ll seldom find this pedal discounted as new because it’s such a popular choice.
