It’s the return of big sales at Amazon, with the Big Deal Days sale launching today, the precursor to the oncoming storm that is the Black Friday music deals. I’ve been covering these sales for the past four years now, and every year there are always some good deals on MacBook laptops. This one is no different.

As a former PC user, I have no hesitation in saying that Apple machines are the best for music making. The audio integration is rock solid, the performance is exceptionally stable, and thanks to the new silicon chips, latency is incredibly low even when input monitoring multiple tracks with plugins while the buffer size is at its minimum.

If you want to step your production game up, grabbing a MacBook in the Prime Big Deal Days music deals is a surefire way to upgrade.

This is the overall cheapest deal on a MacBook you can get in the sale, with the Air M5 returning to its pre-RAM inflation price of $1,099. With a $200 discount, this is more than enough machine for most music makers. The M5 chip with 16GB unified RAM offers superb performance, easily able to handle heavy sessions with high track counts and big plugin usage.

Apple MacBook Air M5: was $1,499 now $1,299 at Amazon

15-inch | M5 | 16 GB RAM | 512 GB SSD

If you like the sound of the laptop above but don’t fancy squinting at a 13-inch screen, this is the logical next step up. It has all the same specs as the smaller model, but adds a larger 15-inch screen, which is much more comfortable for running sessions. Personally, I prefer a larger screen, but if you’re mostly working at home or using an external monitor, you can save a lot more money with the 13-inch version.

For those who want to step up to the big leagues, this is the cheapest deal I could find on a MacBook Pro. The Pro range offers a step up in power from the Air, more connectivity, and larger screens. A MacBook Pro has been my go-to for the past few years, and at the time of writing, it's yet to let me down.
