Toontrack unveils Beatstation

Another software groovebox?

Toontrack is best-known for its acoustic drum software, but with Beatstation, it appears to be releasing a product that strays into software groovebox territory.

The software is previewed in the video above, and features percussion pads, lead instruments and basslines. The interface is said to be skinnable, and can handle samples, MIDI grooves and REX files.

We're guessing that more details will emerge at next week's Frankfurt Musikmesse, in which case we'll pass said details on to you.
