See Mitch Mitchell live in 13 days time...
Two days ago we posted a blog about an all-star Hendrix Tribute tour taking place in the US, admitting our despair at the lack of UK dates. It has since been announced that a similar event is to take place at the Hippodrome in London's Leicester Square on 25 October!
A film of Jimi Hendrix's legendary performance at the Monterey Pop Festival (to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the event) will be screened at 7:45pm and simultaneously to 180 cinema screens across Europe, including selected VUE cinemas around the UK. The screening will be followed by an hour-long live concert performed by an all-star band featuring the incredible Mitch Mitchell on drums. Also set to perform are guitarist Gary Moore, Billy Cox (the bassist who also played in Hendrix's Band of Gypsys), plus Primal Scream´s drummer Darrin Mooney.
You can order tickets online at www.hendrixatmonterey.com or call Ticketmaster on 0870 400 0700 (www.ticketmaster.co.uk).
Tickets for the screening and tribute concerts at the Hippodrome are priced £35+VAT and £175+VAT for special VIP tickets (booking fees apply).
