Nothing has done more to bring the great guitar music we know and love to the rest of the population than the awesome Guitar Hero game. If you've gone head to head with Tom Morello or Slash, or finally managed to 'buy' the best guitar you can, you'll know what we're on about.
Any cynics should try it before voicing any doubts, as it truly is great fun and you can play to consistently big crowds without actually having to pack your gear into your transit and head off down the M5.
To get you in the mood if you're still wavering, we have five copies of the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock companion CD that features music taken from one of the latest versions of the game.
Simply email guitaristcomps@futurenet.co.uk with the phrase 'Guitar Hero III' in the subject line and we'll pick ten winners at random next Friday, once we've heard the album again and again.
If you've won, we'll email you by 4.30 GMT on Friday 19th September and ask you to email us a postal address to which we can send your CD.
