Ok, so we're dangling the carrot rather unnecessarily here seeing as this comp is only availble to residents of the US and Canada but for those of you reading this blog across the pond, you have to check this out.

For the second year running our good friends at Sabian are running their Dream Spot competition offering one lucky band the chance to play 10 dates on the Vans Warped Tour in the US, plus $10,000 worth of band gear and a one-year Sabian cymbal endorsement for their drummer. The winning band will earn the opportunity to play the Kevin Says stage, the launching pad for many Sabian bands including My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy and Avenged Sevenfold.

From 1 April to 23 May, bands interested in entering the contest can visit www.sabian.com or www.cafesonique.com and submit three original songs in MP3 format, along with a video and a brief bio about their bandBetween 26 May and 15 June the selection committee, comprised of Sabian's artist relations personnel plus Vans Warped Tour representatives including Founder Kevin Lyman, will select the 10 finalistsOn 16 June, the 10 finalists´ videos and songs will be posted on www.sabian.com and www.cafesonique.com for consumer voting The band receiving the most fan votes will be announced on 1 JulyThe lucky Dream Spot winner will hit the road with the Vans Warped Tour in August“SABIAN has done a fantastic job putting together the Dream Spot competition for the second straight year,” said Kevin Lyman, founder and creator of the Vans Warped Tour. “In its inaugural run, we had an extremely difficult time choosing the winner as we received entries from hundreds of talented bands.
