Who doesn't love a good old rock weepie? It might seem at odds with the genre's macho image but many a great ballad has been played on trem-laden, pointy-headstocked axes.
This month in GT we've fully tabbed two such power ballads: Boston's brilliant More Than A Feeling which has the excellent Tom Scholz's hot guitar tones all over it; and the similarly excellent Song For Love by Extreme on which the astounding Nuno Bettencourt works his six-string wonders.
Both tracks would be fabulous additions to any gigging band's repertoire, so if you want to get them right in every detail, November's Guitar Techniques is the place to come. And it's on sale now!
