With up to $550 off in Fender’s summer sale, these are the 3 guitars I’d grab for any budget
Fender’s massive summer sale has just launched, giving you a great chance to save on a new Fender or Squier

The Prime Day guitar deals are almost here, and loads of manufacturers and retailers are launching sales to compete with the four-day Amazon deals extravaganza. If you’re not interested in air fryers or AirPods, then head over at the official Fender shop where you can get your hands on up to 20% off Fender and Squier guitars.
The sale has a nice selection of guitars and basses available, which cover the gamut from budget-friendly to pro-level, making it a great place to grab a new guitar. I’ve had a look through the whole sale already, so here are three options that will have you covered no matter what your budget.
I wax lyrical about Telecasters a lot, and with a massive $550 reduction, this Fender American Ultra Luxe Telecaster with Floyd Rose is a serious bit of kit. Dual Ultra Double Tap humbuckers deliver fiery tones with S-1 switching to unlock hot single coil tones.
It doesn’t just sound great either, with rolled fingerboard edges, an augmented ‘D’ profile neck that fills out the further up the neck you go, a compound radius fingerboard, and stainless steel frets, it plays like a dream too.
Fender shop: Save up to 20%
If you’re in the market for a new Fender or Squier guitar this summer, then this is the sale to head for. With discounts of up to 20% across a huge range of instruments, it’s the perfect place to pick up a bargain on a new guitar. There are plenty of options too, whether you’re after something ultra premium, an intermediate-level guitar, or something beginner/budget friendly.
If you want something a little more traditional on a mid-level budget, then have a gander at the Fender Player Plus Stratocaster. It’s got a sweet $240 reduction in the sale, which takes it down to just below the $1k mark.
It’s a proper gigging workhorse guitar with three Noiseless single coil pickups that give you those classic Strat tones minus any extraneous hum. Combine that with the 2-point tremolo and locking tuners, and you’ve got all that Strat signature character with the benefit of modern appointments that ensure excellent tuning stability.
Finally, if you’ve not got so much cash on hand, you can still grab a great guitar in the sale. The Squier Paranormal Offset Telecaster SJ is my pick of the bunch, combining the best of a Telecaster and a Fender offset for some serious tone and visual mojo.
The Tele-style bridge pickup delivers that typical bright tonality, countered by a Jazzmaster pickup in the neck position for plenty of round warmth and bite. Block inlays and neck binding make this guitar look a lot more expensive than it actually is, and even more so thanks to that $70.95 discount.
