Classic hardware synth sounds in software?

We’re not sure what Access will have to say about it, but fans of the company’s Virus synth will surely be interested to note that Sonart Audio has just released an 8GB sample set of the same name that features 1256 patches.
These sounds are divided into seven categories: Brass, Leads, Pads, Bass, Atmosphere Sounds, Strings and FX Sounds. Sonart says that all of the patches were created by its own designers, which implies that this isn’t simply a set of original Virus presets in software.
The Virus library comes in EXS24, Kontakt, HALion, SF2 and WAV formats. It costs $50 and can be downloaded now.
