It was induction day for the new One Year Drum Diploma students at London's Drumtech school earlier this week, and what a welcome they had! Drum great Woody Woodmansey was there to greet them with an inspirational masterclass.
Having played with David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Lou Reed and Edgar Winter during his career Woody has a lot of experience and advice to impart. As well as talking about his history on the drums he discussed kit tuning and delivering an emotional impact with your songs before unveiling his chops for a 15 minute explosion at the kit.
Don't forget to keep up with the progress of Rhythm's latest Drumtech Scholarship winner who will be starting his diary in Rhythm in the coming months.
