The latest news from the world of Asaf Sirkis
Recent Rhythm star and Guest Lesson tutor Asaf Sirkis has a number of live dates and workshops planned for this summer and beyond.
To begin with the Asaf Sirkis Trio will perform, as part of the 2009 Brecon Jazz Festival, at Brecon Cathedral on 8 August at 2pm. The band will feature Tassos Spiliotopoulos on guitar and Patrick Bettison on electric bass and harmonica. Also look out for the Asaf Sirkis Quartet featuring Mark Lockheart on saxophone, Kit Downes on piano and Mike Outram on guitar at the Watermill Jazz Club, Dorking, 20 August.
Asaf, Yaron and Tassos have also been enjoying their touring workshops around the country. You can meet the band and enjoy hands-on experience at Pembrokeshire Jazz n Blues Festival on 27 August, Puzzle Hall Inn; Leeds College on 18 November; and The Grain Barge, Bristol, 27 November.
