Help Richie Hayward raise cash for medical treatment
Little Feat drummer needs your help...
It pains us to announce that legendary Little Feat drummer Richie Hayward has been diagnosed with liver cancer.
In the coming year Richie will have to undergo many costly tests, treatments and eventually, a liver transplant. He has been forced to leave Little Feat to concentrate on his health. As a consequence, he has no income and he also has no health insurance. Here's where you come in...
A benefit page has been set up to help raise money for Richie's medical costs at www.richiehaywardbenefit.com. If you're a fan of the band, Richie's playing, or simply feel like lending a hand, please donate as little or as much as you can to help out a fellow drummer. Check a the video below for a reminder of what a talent he is!
For those of you in the States there will also be a benefit concert taking place in Agoura Hills, California, on Sunday 4 October. Head to the site for more info.

I'm MusicRadar's eCommerce Editor. In addition to testing the latest music gear, with a particular focus on electronic drums, it's my job to manage the 300+ buyer's guides on MusicRadar and help musicians find the right gear for them at the best prices. I dabble with guitar, but my main instrument is the drums, which I have been playing for 24 years. I've been a part of the music gear industry for 20 years, including 7 years as Editor of the UK's best-selling drum magazine Rhythm, and 5 years as a freelance music writer, during which time I worked with the world's biggest instrument brands including Roland, Boss, Laney and Natal.
