Don't forget: IDF Rhythm Course next month!

The week of 2 - 9 August 2008 is looking set to be a great week for drummers of all standards as the International Drum Foundation Rhythm Course descends on Bath Univeristy.

Including tuition from Rhythm's own Colin Woolway plus James Hester, Tim Brown and Mr Craig Blundell this is a week not to be missed.

This year the format has changed slightly with the addition of a workshop series where specific teachers will be covering aspects of playing in more of a classroom atmosphere meaning there will be even more to sink your teeth into.

The line-up is also rather impressive this year. Below is a short bio of each artists performing during the week

Geoff Dugmore - Geoffs CV of artists is unbelieveable. Check out his site at geoffdugmore.com and take a look! Geoff will be covering some of his past work and helping us delve into the often weird and wonderful world of being 'the drum guy' to all of these major artists!

Jason Bowld - Not only a Rhythm columnist, but the percussive mastermind behind bands such as Pitchshifter, This Is Menace and China Stye, Jason will be kicking some series grooves and chops and playing like only he can.

Damon Wilson - The Uber-sessioneer will be helping you understand the skills needed in the modern freelance world

Pete Cater & Mark Fletcher - Jazz Workshop

Craig Blundell - Electronics Workshop

Andy Newmark - will be holding a talk entitled 'The Essence of Time'

Benny Greb - Returns again after his appearance in '05 to show you his brilliance of technique and musicality, the Greb way.

Chuck Sabo - Session legend, having worked with Natalie Umbruglia and several other major artists, Chuck will be taking you through what it takes to work with artists and producers in the modern session setting.

Head straight to the IDF website for the latest details on the line-up and how to book your place.

Please note - with the amount of major artist involved IDF reserve the right to change an artist at short notice.
