We all know that Nickelback's Daniel Adair is a fine rock drummer and to say his band is doing rather well in the UK is a stratospheric understatement. But did you know that when Daniel really stretches his playing he chops to match Portnoy? No, well we recommend you check out the latest CD, Clean, from his other band Martone, fronted by Canadian guitar virtuoso, Dave Martone.
As well as Daniel the band features musical contributions from Joe Satriani, Greg Howe, Billy Sheehan, Ric Fierabracci and Jennifer Batten.
To give you an idea of the vibe of the album, here are a few words from Dave Martone himself: “I wanted the album to be playable by a 3 piece band, while not relying heavily on studio production techniques. I wanted more of a 4 on the floor vibe, with very strong melodies, and a more organic texture of sounds.”
