Snoop Dogg has become the latest big-name artist to part company with his record company. Rather than going it alone, though, he's chosen to jump into bed with MTV.
Having announced that he'd left Interscope earlier this week, there was speculation that Snoop might put out his new album, Malice In Wonderland, himself, but he's now agreed to work on this and various other projects with the broadcasting giant.
Snoop said in a statement: "When Van Toffler [MTV President] and I sat down Boss to Boss, a global quintuple threat takeover was masterminded. As the world of entertainment keeps changing, we felt it was the right time to let Snoop Dogg back on MTV so we could continue to run thangs with music, movies, DVDs and bring hip-hop to Rock Band."
The rapper's variety show, Dogg After Dark, will start its run in the US next week. When the album and Snooped-up version of Rock Band will appear remains to be seen.
