Following the release of the VCI-100 earlier this year, Vestax has launched a second DJ MIDI controller in the shape of the VCM-100. Based on a standard DJ layout, this compact device can have up to 60 parameters assigned to it and features built-in audio I/O.
Enclosed in what's described as a compact but highly durable body, the VCM-100 connects to your Mac or PC over USB. Power can be drawn either over the USB port or via the optional power adaptor.
The VCM-100 offers four mono inputs, two stereo outputs (master out L/R and monitor/booth out L/R) plus a dedicated headphone output. ASIO 2.0, CoreAudio and MME/WDM drivers are supported so the device should work with all current DJing software.
For the benefit of those who don't have a mixing app, the VCM-100 comes bundled with a copy of Traktor LE. This comes complete with control assignment files so should work with the hardware out of the box.
Available now, the VCM-100 retails for £359. Click here for more information.
