In this video, Brad Davis demonstrates his flat-picking technique, which he calls the 'double-down up'.
The technique is a big step away from traditional acoustic playing and was in fact conceived when Brad was trying to emulate Eddie Van Halen's fretboard tapping. To learn the best licks in this lesson make sure you check out our tab.
To read a full interview with Brad Davis in which he discusses his technique, influences and Bluegrass Series Takamine acoustic guitar, check out the February 2008 issue of Guitarist magazine.
More info is available on Brad Davis's website.
