Matt Bellamy gets Moog Guitar?

Shall I get one guys? What do you think?

We have it on good authority that Muse frontman Matt Bellamy is set to be one of the first famous guitarists to take delivery of the recently-confirmed new Moog Guitar.

Given Bellamy's penchant for all things synthesized and sci-fi, and his use of effects-loaded electric guitars custom built by luthier Hugh Manson, it would be no great surprise.

Here at MusicRadar, we've been idly wondering which other FX-loving guitar heroes might be thinking about a potential purchase, and we wouldn't mind betting that at least one member of Radiohead will end up with one.

Other likely recipients would surely include The Verve's Nick McCabe, My Bloody Valentine's Kevin Shields, Robert Fripp and almost certainly The Mars Volta's Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, although Lopez has no shortage of strange sounds in his arsenal already.

Reports that Noel Gallagher has been quoted as saying "Moog guitar? I'm not having that" are as yet unconfirmed.
