Taye pedal competition!
A comfortable bass drum pedal is often considered the Holy Grail by drummers. There are so many factors that play a part in how our pedals feel under foot - beater angle, spring tension, footplate angle, and so many more - that it can be hard to tailor them all to suit our individual playing needs. Taye´s sturdy new XP1 pedal range could well be the answer. It's one of the most adjustable pedal designs we've seen in a long time...
Jordan McLachlan gave the pedals a gleaming four star review in the November issue of Rhythm and said they were "intelligently designed and beautifully built to operate at the highest level." If you like what you've heard so far then read on as the generous folk at Taye have donated an XP1 single pedal for us to give away to one lucky reader. Just fill out the online form below and cross those fingers...

“They all said he was crazy. The whole industry said he's going off the deep end. Who would even buy a guitar or a piano over the internet? And he just stuck to his guns. For him everything was doable": See behind the scenes as Thomann turns 70
Roland’s SPD-SX Pro electronic drum pad is an industry standard for hybrid drumming, and you can save $200 on one: but only if you’re quick!
I'm MusicRadar's eCommerce Editor. In addition to testing the latest music gear, with a particular focus on electronic drums, it's my job to manage the 300+ buyer's guides on MusicRadar and help musicians find the right gear for them at the best prices. I dabble with guitar, but my main instrument is the drums, which I have been playing for 24 years. I've been a part of the music gear industry for 20 years, including 7 years as Editor of the UK's best-selling drum magazine Rhythm, and 5 years as a freelance music writer, during which time I worked with the world's biggest instrument brands including Roland, Boss, Laney and Natal.
