Drum talent confirmed for Music Live 2009
Some of the UK´s finest drum talent will be gathered at Music Live 2009 at the Birmingham NEC between 6-8 November. Both the event´s Live Stage and Clinic Room are scheduled to host some truly inspirational players…
Ace groover Jerry Brown and legendary Brit sessioneer Neal Wilkinson both appear courtesy of London Drum Company and Malakai drummer/BIMM tutor James Hester will be joining Ocean Colour Scene bass player Damon Minchella for a rhythm section workout in the Clinic Room.
The irrepressible Robin Guy, metal master Jason Bowld, Wildhearts´ Ritch Battersby and Young Drummer Of The Year 2009 Richard Rayner round out the Clinic Room line-up - and Robin will also be blasting with the Burningbeat Boys on the Live Stage on Saturday 7 November. The Boys also include Nick Barker (Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir), Matt Goom (Glenn Hughes), Jonno Lodge (Biomechanical) and Neil Hutton (Benediction).
Jason Bowld´s new band, They Fell From The Sky (fronted by Hundred Reasons´ Colin Doran) also make their live debut at Music Live on Friday 6 November. The Live Stage rowdiness culminates in the Titans Of Tribute show on Sunday 8, when Music Live recreates the classic Donington Monsters of Rock line-up from 1988 in tribute band form. Hulloween, UK Guns n´Roses, Megadeth UK, Yankee Rose, Dressed To Kill and Hi-On Maiden are set to raise the roof and show visitors how cover tunes should be done…
With the Hellfire Festival (taking place on the Music Live stage each evening of the event) having confirmed a varied line-up covering everything from Saxon, Fields Of The Nephilim and Anvil to Sylosis and Blakfish, the tenth Music Live weekend is set to be the most exciting and inspirational so far.
