Free UVI Workstation now officially available
Download sounds from dedicated website
Having been in beta for several months, the finished version of Univers Sons' free UVI Workstation is now available for download. What's more, its companion website - UVI Sound Source - is open for business, too.
As MusicRadar previously reported, the UVI Workstation is a powerful multitimbral software instrument that's powered by the new UVI Engine XT sampling engine. Supporting loops and instruments, it offers unlimited parts, integrated effects and live performance features.
The release version of the software fixes a few issues that existed with the beta, while the opening of the UVI Sound Source website means that users can now purchase and download new content for the application. There's not a great deal there at the moment - and some of it has been released before - but we're expecting more to be available soon.
You've really got nothing to lose by downloading the UVI Workstation plug-in - it's cross-platform and runs standalone or as a VST, AU, RTAS and MAS plug-in. And if you like what you see, you know that there's an easy way to expand the sound library.
