Jackson Guitars are once again one of the co-sponsors of the Download Festival, with their own events over the weekend.

Jackson staff will be on hand to help, beginners will get to play their first chords and metal riffs on the Jackson Guitar Stations, and more experienced players get to join in too.

2008 sees the return of Jackson´s Riff And Destroy competition, where festival goers get the chance to get up in front of the cameras and perform their most metal riff in the most extreme Download style that they can muster up. Each day five finalists will be picked by the Jackson Panel and the live final on Sunday 15 June will be judged by legendary Jackson signature artist Phil Demmel from Machine Head.

The lucky finalist will win a signed Jackson Demmelition King V Guitar signed by the man himself Phil Demmel and a lesson in Riff Assault.

Thanks to the generosity of Jackson, MusicRadar has three pairs of Download tickets to give away (including camping). And one of the lucky pair of winners will get to meet Phil Demmel on the Sunday!

Question: With which band does Phil Demmel play?

To allow winners time to plan their weekend, this competition has to end on 10 June 2008. Transport to and from the Download Festival is the responsibility of the winners.
