DSP specialist Waves has announced GTR Solo, the latest addition to its GTR Series guitar and bass modelling plug-in range.

Priced at $140, GTR Solo requires nothing more than an instrument, a lead and a computer to access a range of high-quality amp and cabinet models based on classic Fender, Vox and Marshall designs.

In addition, there are models based on boutique amplifiers from Paul Reed Smith’s personal collection. In total there are 10 amplifier models including one based on a Hartke 3500 solid-state bass head, plus 10 cabinets of varying sizes and 13 stompbox effects.
