Cumbria Vintage And New Guitar Show This August

It used to be called the Fender Club Vintage and New Guitar Show, but since the demise of the Fender Club it has now been officially named The Cumbria Vintage and New Guitar Show.

What ever the name it´s still a great show and it´s on again this August for its 12th year. Held at Rheged Visitor and Exhibition centre just off Junction 40 of the M6, the show has grown to be a major regional event of the guitar calendar.

Held on the 24th and 25th of August (Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday), it will be a Mecca for guitar enthusiasts, with a great line-up of top players on stage and in the informal demo room, a huge array of guitars old and new plus loads of amps effects and related gear to try out.

There will also be free workshops on setting up your gear and giving an insight into home recording on your PC - and a widdle area to plug in to FX units with headphones.

Players at the show include Ken Nicol & Gareth Pearson for Fylde Guitars, Rod Sinclair and James Birkett from Newcastle College and Guitar Weekends, Matt Marriot from Cort Guitars, Steve Smith from Ibanez and Laney, Jamie McCredie with Laurence Blackadder plus local band Falling Red and regulars Eddie Allen and Tony Foad.

To top it off there's a free prize draw to win a guitar and a chance to win a Guitar Weekend of your choice.
