Cornbury Festival '09 Announces Eclectic Line Up
British popsters Scouting For Girls and punk legends The Damned headline an eclectic line-up at this year's Cornbury Festival in the Cotwolds on 11 and 12 July.
Now in its sixth year, the two-day festival will also feature performances from acoustic 'belle du jour' Imelda May, alt rockers The Magic Numbers and Chrissie Hynde-fronted The Pretenders.
"Where else could you see The Damned and the Sugababes on one bill?!" says promoter Hugh Phillimore.
The all-age festival in beautiful Cotswold surroundings also has fantastic food, hot air balloons, morris dancers, children´s theatre workshops and a huge fairground - it's all so typically English! Eccentric, eclectic and electric!
The full line up is as follows:
Scouting For Girls, The Damned, Sharleen Spiteri, Teddy Thompson, Magic Numbers, Shortwave Set, Dodgy, I Am Kloot, Boy Least Likely To, Amy Lavere, Relay, Kingsize 5, The Love Trousers, Sugababes, Peatbog Fairies, The Pretenders, Mary Coughlan, Joe Jackson, Eddi Reader, Imelda May, Coute Diomboulou, Ava Leigh, 3 Daft Monkeys, Laura & The Tears and Stornoway.
