Scouting for Girls started 2008 with a No.1 album. These lifelong friends are one of the most exuberant and successful British acts in years. From promoting regular pub gigs in their hometown, Scouting for Girls' ear for a melody and knack for a tune meant things began to progress quickly. Within days of signing a deal with Epic Records (Valentines´ Day 2007) they were swept out to the legendary Helioscentric Studios in East Sussex to record their debut album with producer Andy Green.

Drummer Pete Ellard now continuously relies upon his Mapex Saturn kit for demanding tour schedules that take him worldwide throughout the year.

Pete now also plays the new Paiste Twenty series cymbals that give him the rich tones the band require for their unique and catchy pop sound.
