Rhythm at Download: The highlights!
The Rhythm Magazine team have landed back on terra firma (and deadline week) following a raucous and downright rockin' Download Festival 2009.
As well as catching a little sunstroke and high-octane sets from Clutch, Killswitch Engage, The Prodigy and Limp Bizkit, the jewel in the crown was hanging backstage with Tommy Lee of Motley Crue and securing an interview for the next issue of Rhythm.
Shooting the breeze over an ice-cold Corona we discussed the dubious merits of mounting drum risers on roller coasters and getting sober to record classic album Dr. Feelgood.
The interview in question, and our feature on the Wildest Drummers Ever, goes on sale 7 July. Check out the video below - we're sure you can appreciate the 'work' that went into it...

I'm MusicRadar's eCommerce Editor. In addition to testing the latest music gear, with a particular focus on electronic drums, it's my job to manage the 300+ buyer's guides on MusicRadar and help musicians find the right gear for them at the best prices. I dabble with guitar, but my main instrument is the drums, which I have been playing for 24 years. I've been a part of the music gear industry for 20 years, including 7 years as Editor of the UK's best-selling drum magazine Rhythm, and 5 years as a freelance music writer, during which time I worked with the world's biggest instrument brands including Roland, Boss, Laney and Natal.
