Rhythm at Download: Encounter with Tommy Lee
Interviews on day one at Download have drawn to a close... but what a day!
We've had encounters with Aaron from Billy Talent, Snoz from The Blackout, Ray Luzier from Korn, Justin from Killswitch Engage and Mr Tommy Lee. Oh yes! the Motely Crue legend was in fine fettle earlier today and told us all about his dream to mount a drum riser on a rollercoaster and ride it around the venue - insane!

We haven't had much chance to check out any bands today, but Limp Bizkit are currently rocking the main stage. John Otto is a seriously groovy drummer. Fingers crossed they tour the UK later in the year. LB is officially back.
We'll be uploading some video later this evening, but for now it's off to watch the Limp Bizkit finale, followed by Korn, then we'll be running between sets from Motley Crue and Faith No More. Its been a good day...

I'm MusicRadar's eCommerce Editor. In addition to testing the latest music gear, with a particular focus on electronic drums, it's my job to manage the 300+ buyer's guides on MusicRadar and help musicians find the right gear for them at the best prices. I dabble with guitar, but my main instrument is the drums, which I have been playing for 24 years. I've been a part of the music gear industry for 20 years, including 7 years as Editor of the UK's best-selling drum magazine Rhythm, and 5 years as a freelance music writer, during which time I worked with the world's biggest instrument brands including Roland, Boss, Laney and Natal.
