Following Mogwai drummer Martin Bulloch´s surgery to have his new pacemaker fitted this week, his bandmate, frontman Stuart Braithwaite, has announced the band´s plan to auction off the sticksman´s previous pacemaker.
"Martin has in the last few hours come out of surgery [for] fitting a new pacemaker,” Braithwaite has written on the band´s website, www.mogwai.co.uk. “As happened last time we will have a charity auction for his old one with the proceeds going to the British Heart Foundation. Details will follow in the next few days. Get well soon Martin!”
The Glaswegian post-rockers recently played Scotland´s Connect Festival, to rave reviews. All at Rhythm wish Martin a speedy recovery, and hope to see the Young Team back on the road soon!
