The 18th annual Chicago Drum Show - the world´s largest and longest-running vintage and custom drum show - will be taking over the Kane Country Fairgrounds in St Charles, Illinois on 17 and 18 May 2008. The event will boast nearly 100 exhibit spaces bursting with vintage drums, drum parts, accessories, cymbals and custom gear.
As well as the usual established drum manufacturer suspects such as Drum Workshop, Ludwig, Roland and Sabian, this year´s event will bring visitors a host of first-time exhibitors and custom manufacturers including Craviotto and Dunnett. Drum clinics will be taking place throughout the weekend, and for the first time ever Chicago Drum Show visitors can take advantage of a Masterclass Programme, where they can interact with world-class players in a more intimate environment. The impressive roster of drummers appearing at the show counts Carmine Appice, Chip Ritter, Billy Ward and Cindy Blackman among its ranks.
