The Beatles: Rock Band artwork has now been revealed.

The Beatles: Rock Band video game is likely to appall and appeal in equal measure, but if rumours are to be believed, what can't be denied is that its developers are going all out to ensure that it's as authentic as possible.

It's being speculated that the game may support multiple microphones, thus enabling players to perform the vocal harmonies that were crucial to The Beatles' sound. There are also unconfirmed reports that there'll be some kind of 'harmony training' mode.

Furthermore, GameStop has started listing the Beatles: Rock Band Limited Edition Bundle, which is said to contain a Höfner-style bass controller, special Beatles-branded drums, a mic and mic stand and "special content". This is priced at $250.

The Beatles: Rock Band is scheduled for release on 9 September - the same day as the remastered versions of the band's albums go on sale.
