Jay-Z to support Coldplay at Wembley
Is a rock/rap duet in the offing?
We already knew that Chris Martin and Jay-Z were pretty tight, and it's now been confirmed that the US rapper will open for Coldplay at three UK stadium gigs in 2009.
These will take place at the Manchester Old Trafford Cricket Ground on 12 September, Glasgow Hampden Park on 16 September and, finally, at Wembley Stadium on 19 September.
Given that Jay-Z recently guested on Lost+, a track from new Coldplay EP Prospekt's March, we wouldn't be at all surprised to see him join the band on stage at one or more of the shows.
Maybe they could invite Noel Gallagher along, too.
Tickets went on sale at 9.30am on 28 November - find out how to buy them on the Coldplay website.
