The Zutons Find Their Green Side

After over two years off the road, top Scouse quintet The Zutons have announced a list of UK dates. What´s unusual about that is that the ‘venues´ are all forests up and down the country.

In a statement on The Zutons.com, the band say: “The Forestry Commission is committed to taking woodlands to new audiences, and making them relevant to people in new ways. The forest tour is self-sustaining, paying for itself, and providing valuable revenue to plough back into the woodland in a variety of environmental and social projects.”

Locales are:

June 5 - Thetford Forest, Suffolk
June 8 - Bedgebury Pinetum And Forest, Kent
June 13 - Delamere Forest, Cheshire
June 20 - Westonbirt National Arboretum, Gloucestershire
June 21 - Sherwood Pines Forest Park, Nottinghamshire
June 27 - Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire
June 28 - Cannock Chase Forest, Staffordshire

Tickets go on sale 22nd February.

A forest, yesterday

If flailing away at flocks of midges or scoffing lukewarm hedgehogs roasted in clay isn´t your bag, the band has also been confirmed to strut their stuff at the Isle of Wight Festival in June…
