Grunge rockers Stone Temple Pilots, featuring Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland on vocals, are gearing up to return to the live circuit this summer.
According to Scott Weiland’s Velvet Revolver bandmate Slash, the band are getting back together to play an undisclosed number of shows.
As reported by TG last week Weiland told the Miami Herald that a reunion was on the cards in the coming months.
STP had their heyday in the early and mid 90s with the release of their multi-million selling debut 'Core' and its follow up 'Purple'. The band split in 2002 with Weiland going on to form Velvet Revolver with ex-G'N'R members.
Velvet Revolver are still touring their second album ‘Libertad’ and want to begin recording their third this spring.
