Dave Mattacks clinic on 10 August
August is shaping up to be a fantastic month for drums events what with the recently announced Stanton Moore dates, and now this, a masterclass with Dave Mattacks on Monday 10 August at Woodley Baptist Church Hall (opposite DrumWright) at 8.00pm (doors open 7.30pm).
Dave first came to prominence as the drummer with legendary folk-rock band Fairport Convention. He is one of the most musical drummers in the world, and is much in demand as a player and producer.
Dave´s discography and touring credits include Paul McCartney, Elton John, George Harrison, Jimmy Page, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Richard Thompson, XTC, Joan Armatrading, Brian Eno, Steeleye Span, Susan Tedeschi, Nick Drake and Loudon Wainwright.
His masterclass will focus on getting the best sound from your drums in different situations and on cymbal selection. He will also share his phenomenal knowledge of tuning techniques.
