Listening challenge: the real Minimoog revealed

Did you correctly identify the real Minimoog clip?
Did you correctly identify the real Minimoog clip?

A couple of weeks ago, we gave you audio clips of three synths to listen to: one was the original Minimoog, while the other two were software emulations of this classic analogue instrument. Your job was to tell the vintage hardware apart from the plug-in impostors.

Well, we can now give you the answer: the Minimoog was clip B.

To give credit where it´s due, we should say that lots of you got this right, but there did seem to be a degree of uncertainty among many respondents, and there was general agreement that any of the sounds could do a job in a mix.

Thanks to everyone who took part in the challenge - we´ll bring you another one soon.
