It appears that Waldorf is launching a keyboard version of its impressive Blofeld synthesizer. This looks to have similar specs to the desktop version, but bolts on a 49-note 'board and adds 60MB of sample memory.

At the time of writing, the Blofeld Keyboard's specs haven't been posted by Waldorf, but they have appeared on the website of UK retailer Dolphin Music. These indicate that the instrument has a metal case and operates as class-compliant USB MIDI device on Mac and PC.

There's no news yet on exactly when you'll be able to get your hands on the Blofeld Keyboard, but it seems that the price will be £599.
