Yesterday former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash posted on his Twitter account that Guns bandmate Steven Adler was set to record drums on his forthcoming solo album. Adler is scheduled to lay down his drum track at some point next week. This will be the first time in many years that the duo have performed together.
Slash has been recording his solo CD with Josh Freese (NIN, The Vandals) laying down the lion's share of the drum tracks. Freese recently told MusicRadar.com that Iggy Pop, Fergie (a.k.a. Stacy Ann Ferguson) of the Black Eyed Peas and Chris Cornell will also appear on the album.
Having witnessed Adler in full swing at an Adler's Appetite gig in January (on Sunset Strip, no less. Click the link if you don't believe us!) we can't wait to hear his performance on the Slash album. For those of you who have forgotten quite how good Adler can be when he applies himself, check out the video for 'Welcome To The jungle' below.
