Michael Jackson says no to Jackson 5 reunion

So, it turns out that the previously reported Jackson 5 reunion might not be as 'confirmed' as some people are saying.

It seems that Michael, who, let's face it, is going to be the main draw if the band do finally get back together, isn't really up for it.

"My brothers and sisters have my full love and support," he said in a statement. "We've certainly shared many great experiences, but at this time I have no plans to record or tour with them.

"I am now in the studio developing new and exciting projects that I look forward to sharing with my fans in concert soon."

This is going to come as a disappointment to Jackson 5 fans, but for those who prefer Michael on his own, it could be construed as good news.

However, we still wouldn't bet the farm on there being a new MJ record/tour in 2009 - it still seems about as likely as him becoming the new frontman for Led Zeppelin, to be honest.
