Taylor goes exotic
Ultra-limited edition acoustic to feature gorgeous Macassar ebony construction
Taylor has never been shy of working with rare and exotic tonewoods, and the new GS Fall 2007 Limited Edition acoustic is no exception.
Featuring gloriously figured Macassar ebony back and sides in conjunction with a Sitka spruce top for a rich, dark tonality, the model is the first from Taylor to mate a GS Grand Symphony body shape with a Venetian cutaway.
Taylor Expression System electronics are included, but the instrument is being manufactured in such limited quantities that only four are destined for UK shores, retailing at £4999 a piece.
Softening the considerable blow of the £5,000 price tag a little, for the remainder of 2007, the guitar comes with a free Baby Taylor 3/4-size acoustic as part of the Free Baby Taylor promotion.
