You're stuck in that world between too-advanced-for-a-beginner's-guitar-but-a-$2,000-baby-is-still-beyond-your-reach. Ibanez's new Artcore AM73B might be your ticket.
Being packed with features and yet remaining highly affordable seems like the right idea to us, and the Ibanez Artcore AM73B semi- acoustic electric guitar looks like it's got it right on both counts. The instrument's combination of an all-maple body with semi-acoustic construction, a set-neck, and dual humbuckers promises full, deep tones with incredible sustain. What's more, the AM body shape is perfect for smaller players or anyone else who wants the traditional semi-acoustic elements but not the traditional size.
Other features include a rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, 22 medium frets, chrome hardware, and double-cutaways for easy access to upper frets.
We don't know what world we're stuck in, but we may have to give this Artcore a try. It looks like a good "everyday" kind of guitar, but one that has some special qualities. The list price is a good-sounding $399.00 list. For more information, visit the official Ibanez website.
