Step 14: Like the ride, we want the break to be a constant presence, so let's break out more Compressors. First, add one to the channel and set the sidechain input to the kick channel, just as we did with the ride. Copy the settings shown here, which will cause the break to duck heavily when the kick is played.

  • Serban MatechThe beat sounds like a 2 year old fell over on one end of the control surface and walked over to the other. What have you done with the snare? So over processed! All dynamics here are lost... The tips are good but you should of composed a more alive and dynamic beat than what is presented. Don't insult people's intelligence by give them simple examples. Your reader base probably isn't 12 year olds.
