It's Official: Scott Weiland is out of Velvet Revolver

Slash

sure knows how to pick lead singers.

Along with fellow Velvet Revolver founding members

Duff McKagan

,

Matt Sorum

and

Dave Kushner

, the band announced yesterday (Tuesday, 1 April ) that they are parting ways with singer

Scott Weiland

.

And it wasn't an April Fool.

"This band is all about its fans and its music and Scott Weiland isn't 100% committed to either,"

said Slash in a press release.

"Among other things, his increasingly erratic onstage behavior and personal problems have forced us to move on."

That doesn't sound amicable!

The band is expected to continue - although who will fill the vocalist position is still to be decided.

We're praying they won't go down the route of

reality TV

with some awful audition show.

Guns N' Roses

reunion? Don't be silly now.
