This year we have been taking these values a step further by creating the newest addition to the Victory family, the V4 Kraken guitar amp. The V4 The Kraken guitar amp partners a V4 Series all-valve preamp with a solid-state, 180-watt Class D power amp.
Building on the success of the V4 The Duchess amp, the V4 Kraken guitar amp continues the ultra-compact size and huge tones by adding even more features. The V4 Kraken guitar amp features Two notes audio engineering Torpedo-embedded DynIR Virtual Cabinet technology making it easy to take your cabinets anywhere!
The V4 Kraken guitar amp features two channels and built in reverb and was designed in conjunction with Victory artist Rabea Massaad, who has been involved in the Kraken range since its inception. In May 2021 the V4 Kraken amp was awarded by Guitarist magazine a perfect 10/10.
The Victory family
The Kraken range is one of five Victory families of amplifiers, so if the Kraken doesn’t sound right for you, there are four more amp families to fit your style of music.
The Duchess is for players looking for a pedal platform and a clean American style sound, the Jack is for players wanting a versatile, all-round amp, the Copper is for that jangly, British late 50’s-60’s sound and the Sheriff is for British 60’s blues through to 80’s hot rodded heavy rock.
Victory Design
Our head designer is Martin Kidd who is well known in British amplification circles. He heads up a modern-boutique approach to design and specification. We use meticulously hand-wired tag boards where we feel that method offers the biggest tonal benefits, alongside printed circuit boards where they make most sense. We never compromise on components, from caps and resistors, pots and switches, right through to our custom designed transformers.
