Need a new audio interface? Audient can provide you with the complete recording, mixing and mastering package

By Advertorial

Plus, over £500 worth of free plugins from Eventide, Steinberg and more…

Rather than giving you stripped back plugins or discounts on plugins you’re never going to be able to afford, Audient provides you with one of the best ways to get recording, mixing and mastering your tracks in no time.

With Audient’s learning resource centre, ARC, you’re able to claim over £500 worth of software and plugins for free from the industry’s leading innovators, including Eventide, Steinberg, LANDR and Producertech, when you register any Audient product online.

Recording

When you’re spending money on anything, you’re always going to match the best quality with the best price and this is definitely the case with Audient’s award winning iD audio interface range.

Whether you’re recording with the iD4 2in/2out desktop interface, or the large format console, ASP8024-HE, you’re still getting the same Class A microphone preamp designed by industry legend, David Dearden.

Having some of the highest quality mic pres is the first step in getting a great sounding recording. Of course you’ve got to make sure the performance is the best it can be, because the mic pre is going to document exactly what you play.

So you’ve got your interface set up, but what are you going to record in? With ARC you get a free copy of Steinberg’s Cubase LE, which offers you powerful yet easy-to-use tools for audio recording, editing, MIDI sequencing and much more; everything you need to get started on the road to making a record.

Should you need to record whilst on the road, then not only do you get Cubase LE, but you also get Cubasis LE2 for iPad included in the package.

Mixing

Once you have laid down all the tracks of your masterpiece, the next step will be to start mixing your project. If you’re a complete novice, you should probably head over to Producertech.com to learn some of the basics, particularly the free How to use compression for beginners (opens in new tab) course provided on ARC.

However, if you’ve already got a bit of mixing experience you should add renowned effects developer Eventide’s UltraChannel and UltraReverb to your plugin collection.

Ultrachannel is the swiss army knife of channel strip plugins, perfect to help sculpt your sound. With its five band parametric EQ, unique O-Pressor, Compressor, Gate, Pitch shift and more, Ultrachannel is the only channel strip plugin you’ll need to get started.

Also included is UltraReverb, for all your reverb needs. Ultrareverb contains all your favourite reverb presets from Rooms, Chambers and even Ambience derived from Eventide's flagship hardware processor, the H8000 UltraHarmonizer - everything you need to create space, get stadium drum sounds and create beautiful sounding vocal effects.

Mastering and distribution

Once your track is mixed, you’ll need to get it mastered and sent out for distribution. With the ARC package (opens in new tab) you can get up to 10 high quality masters as well as distribution to iTunes, Spotify and more with LANDR’s mastering and distribution service.

If you’re in the market for a new audio interface along with £500 worth of plugins, software and courses for free, we highly recommend Audient’s iD interface range.
