VIDEO: Inside Electro-Harmonix: vacuum tubes and Big Muffs
A tour of EHX's HQ, messy desks and all
Electro-Harmonix (EHX) is mostly famed for its creation of guitar FX including the Big Muff, HOG and Electric Mistress Flanger, to name but a few. EHX also manufactures vacuum tubes, which - along with every single pedal - are sent to the New York HQ for testing.
Our friends over at BoingBoing took a trip to Long Island and shot the following video. The tour includes an FX designer's very real (and very messy) working environment and "more vacuum tubes than any of you will ever see for the rest your life."
