The BOSS Katana Bass amps feature bags of tone-shaping capabilities - see them in action

Boss has extended its hugely popular Katana range with two new bass amps, the Katana Bass 210 and Katana Bass 110.

Both amps feature the same premium class AB, bi-amp design with a switchable tweeter. The 110 kicks out 60-watts through a 10-inch woofer, while the 210 comes with 160 watts of power through two 10-inch drivers.

Each model comes loaded with three amp voicings that have been built with Boss’s own Tube Logic technology:

  • Vintage encapsulates a classic tube voice with organic tone and natural drive.
  • Flat delivers a smooth, clear and dynamic tone with rich harmonic character.
  • Modern featuring a quick dynamic response with extended bass range.

The Amp section also comes with a -10dB pad switch and three further tone characters via the Shape switch.

There's a multiband EQ with switchable midrange frequencies and a Blend knob that allows you to dial in the dry signal to your sound.

The Katana Bass amps come with four effects slots, two on the input and two on the output and there’s also a Balanced output that is switchable between direct, pre and post signal.

Six presets can be stored and accessed on the amp itself or via the optional footswitch and through the Boss Tone Studio app on desktop and mobile.

In the video above, you'll hear some of the tones and effects that come loaded in the new Katana Bass range.
