Taylor’s American Dream series brings a new level of value to its US made solid wood acoustic guitars

Taylor’s American Dream series brings a USA-made solid wood acoustic guitar at the most accessible price-points yet from the acclaimed company, and who better to showcase its strengths than two pro musicians with decades of gigging and gear experience.

Guitarist magazine’s Tone Lounge presenters Neville Marten and Richard Barrett explore the Taylor American Dream AD27 and AD17 models in-depth for the episode above. Both are touring and recording musicians but also have the deeper experience of fine acoustic guitars from their work with Guitarist, and they come away "very, very impressed" by these powerhouse instruments.

Richard Barrett praises the stunning Blacktop AD17 as a “working guitar” – and that holds special meaning from a player who has played with artists including Roger Daltrey, Tony Hadley, ABC, Nik Kershaw and Gary Barlow.

The American Dream series offers the kind of spec that will excel at home, studio or stage with the tonal advantages of Taylor’s innovative V-Class bracing for unrivalled sustain across the spectrum.

Taylor delivers solid back, sides and tops across the three-model series alongside enhanced player features including chamfered body edges and 2.0-mil matte finishes. These come at relatively accessible price-points thanks to a balance of minimalism and sustainability with the premium quality Taylor’s reputation is founded on.

The “earthy immediacy” Neville Marten praises in the character of the AD27 sapele / mahogany build in the episode of the Tone Lounge above makes the American Dream a compelling proposition for a wide range of players.

The round-shouldered Grand Pacific dreadnought shape here offers a wonderful all-rounder option, with each American Dream model bringing a distinct contemporary take on warm but defined vintage acoustic character.

The American Dream series also encapsulates Taylor’s longterm commitment to conservationism in the woods the company crafts with. The fingerboard Eucalyptus provides an aesthetically and tonally attractive option but is also sustainable.

Furthermore, the tone woods used throughout the American Dream series are sourced using existing supplies from within Taylor's stocks, and this creates unique visual character for individual instruments while delivering Taylor USA-built quality for more players to enjoy. Guitars that will blossom further with age and play.
